It is widely acknowledged that a corporate's profitability that decreases dramatically not only threatens both potential and current investors, but also can freeze stock market transactions as well as deteriorate the flow of economic resources. The aim of the study is to determine the essence and role of accounting and analytical support for enterprise economic security in a modern globalized and informationalized market. The article considers the main groups of approaches to the definition of the essence of economic security and justifies an integrated approach to determining its components. The authors analyze the existing points of view regarding the definition of the content of accounting and analytical support. This article looks at how economic agglomeration and the business environment affect job creation. The results suggest that economic agglomeration is strongly linked to job growth. Modern telecommunications, access to export markets, concentration of economic activity in large cities and capacity agglomeration, in particular, are important. In contrast, many areas of the business environment, including corruption, macroeconomic stability and infrastructure are not robustly linked to job growth. The main exception to this is that areas of the business environment directly related to labour markets are more consistently linked to job growth than other areas of the business environment. The objective of this article is to present the results of research on the economic growth and business environment of the European Union countries in the context of convergence processes. Additionally, the article presents the results of investigation on the impact of business environment on economic growth. Methods applied in the study are analysis and synthesis of the literature on the subject, as well as quantitative tools: descriptive statistics and multivariate regression. The analysis includes 28 countries of the European Union in the years 2000-2016 for economic growth and 2010-2018 for business environment. Changes in the business environment across the European Union, as well as upward trends indicate a gradual approach of member economies in these areas. A quantitative analysis of the dependence of growth on business environment has also been confirmed. The results can be important for policy makers........
